Quote of the Week

Crown him the Lord of life who triumphed o'er the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save.
His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high,
who died, eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.

i have read this post every day since you put it up. It is such brief and great reminder of the glorious gospel He has risen and death has died for all who crown him Lord. more than that it is a great command -- Crown him the Lord. it is something l must do everyday for i so often and easily want to wear that crown and what a mess that makes!!
so thanks for reminding us of this great command -- Crown him the Lord. what a great place to live, under the loving Lordship for the Savior!

"and lives that death may die."Wow! I am always moved when I think about that! There are some things about God that I just can't ever get used to. That is to say, they never bore me. There will be no "ho-hum" in heaven, eh?

Jimmy - thanks for your encouragement and I'm provoked (in a good way) by your focus on glory of our Savior.

Craver - it's a beautiful phrase, isn't it? It's also rich in its implications for all eternity
