Great quote. I would like to think that we need to apply grace in how we see ourselves, while not excusing ourselves. And with Wesley, I need to make sure I'm working at what is wrong with me- pulling the beam out from my own eye, before I correct everyone else.
We are so weak, and all is of God's wonderful grace in Jesus. But a grace that not only forgives and cleanses but transforms us. But of which we find our strength in the Lord, and never in ourselves.
I like this quote because it reminds me of how much I have to grow in being less severe in my treatment of others and more severe in the consideration of my own foibles
i have consistently found in observation of those around me in my new work environment that those who perform the most are those who love the most. giving grace continually has resulted in peace that can face any obstacle and embrace it... with a smile, even if I am the obstacle.
