I really like Tozer's dedication to Christ. And I really appreciate this quote.
There are so many admonitions by Christians for us to be more active, to "engage the culture," to find significant ways of witnessing in our work, to preach more or self-activate positive thoughts, or whatever.
What a relief to consider that God really wants worshippers even more than he wants doers. The "doing" will follow naturally, without the "I've tried so hard to please him, but I can't seem to measure up" mentality.
kingfisher - I used to read a lot more Tozer than I do now...I love this quote, though because we always need the reminder of what God considers most important in our response to him
Ted - I like that phrase "Practice Resurrection" - haven't read the book, though.

This reminds me of what Eugene Peterson says in his books, and notably in his latest book, "Practice Resurrection."

I love the book. Nearly finished reading it. Powerful and provocative. Works through Ephesians.
