Quote of the Week

"How you make plans tell a lot about yourself. Specifically, and of greatest importance, it tells you much about your relationship to God - how important He is to you in everyday life."

great quote. i can't count how many times i have said (after the planned event) i wish i had prayed about this first.
the pace of life seems to carry me along so fast. i need to dig my heels in and stop to consider God and his desires, direction and wisdom

Awesome quote that couldn't have come at a better time in my life. I am in the process of letting some things go in my life, to simplify it, and to have more time to focus on God. I feel this is something I need to do and I am being lead to do. I want God to be the most important part/partner of my day.

I think it also tells just how you believe plans are made and how life is lived in the dynamic that is ours in Jesus.

It tells us what we believe about the kingdom of God at work in the world, and what our responsibilities are within that starting at home.

Jimmy - yes, I know first hand how the pace of the business world can obscure our need to pray

Rachel - Glad that it was a blessing to you - sounds like you're on the right track

Ted - yes, we do need to plan but we also need to trust God to lead us
